Perrin de Saint-Mauris, seigneur de le Muid, eut deux enfants qui ont fait branches : 1° Celle de Montbarrey, la plus illustre, a eu pour auteur Jean de Saint-Mauris le Muid, conseiller au parlement, puis ambassadeur d'Espagne en France en 1545, et enfin président du conseil d'État. Il était beau-frère du chancelier de Granvelle. Éléonor de Saint-Mauris, seigneur de Montbarrey, le Muid, fut titré comte de Bosjan en 1634. Trois de ses descendants furent lieutenants généraux, et l'un d'eux, Marie-Alexandre-Éléonor, prince du Saint-Empire, grand d'Espagne en 1780, ministre de la guerre, n'eut qu'un fils, Stanislas, prince de Saint-Mauris-Montbarrey, mort sans postérité, et une fille, mariée au prince de Nassau. 2° La branche d'Augerans, reçue à Saint-George en 1682 et en 1715, était représentée en 1815 par Alexis-Claude-Yoland, comte de Saint-Mauris d'Augerans. Alliances : Froissard de Broissia, de Saint-Martin, Germigney, etc. Armes : d'azur, à la croix fleuronnée d'argent. La branche de Montbarrey y ajoutait : coupé de gueules, à l'aigle éployée d'or. Une famille connue sous le nom de Saint-Maurice-Falletans, et rattachée aux branches précédentes par quelques généalogistes, était issue du président de Saint-Maurice, anobli le 1er mai 1585. Elle s'est éteinte avec Rodrigue de Saint-Maurice-Falletans, chevalier d'honneur aux comptes. Alliances : Benoît, Grivel, Jobelot, Alpy. Elle avait ajouté aux armes des Saint-Mauris qui précèdent un chef d'azur chargé de trois coeurs d'or.
Ce type de refrappe a été fait pour collectionneurs et pour pallier à l’impossibilité de trouver certains jetons, rarissimes voire inconnus en frappe originale. En vingt ans de commerce de jetons nous n’avons jamais pu offrir ce jeton en original.

She had added to the arms of the Saint-Mauris which precede an azure chief charged with three gold hearts.
