Le Dar Pomorza a été lancé en 1909 sous le nom Prinzess Eitel Friedrich. Il sert de bateau école pour la marine marchande allemande. En 1920, il est donné à la France en guise de dommages de guerre et devient le Colbert. En 1929, il est vendu à la Pologne et devient navire école en Poméranie (d’où son nom actuel). En 1981, il effectue son dernier voyage. Il est désormais amarré dans le port de Gdynia et sert de bateau musée.
La série des grands voiliers illustre les bâtiments suivants :
- le Sedov (2009)
- le Dar Pomorza (2009)
- le Constitution (2010)
- l’Amerigo Vespucci (2010)
- le Cutty Sark (2011)
Cette monnaie a été frappée par l’atelier de Varsovie du Mint of Poland PLC..
The Dar Pomorza was launched in 1909 under the name Prinzess Eitel Friedrich. She served as a training ship for the German merchant navy. In 1920, she was given to France as war reparations and became the Colbert. In 1929, she was sold to Poland and became a training ship in Pomerania (hence her current name). In 1981, she made her last voyage. She is now moored in the port of Gdynia and serves as a museum ship. The Tall Ships series illustrates the following vessels: - the Sedov (2009) - the Dar Pomorza (2009) - the Constitution (2010) - the Amerigo Vespucci (2010) - the Cutty Sark (2011) This coin was minted by the Warsaw mint of the Mint of Poland PLC.
