La Rétrocession de Hong Kong à la Chine a lieu le 1er juillet 1997. Cela met fin au bail de 99 ans établi entre la Dynastie Qing et l'Empire Britannique, au sein de trois traités inégaux, dont le premier eût lieu à la fin de la guerre de l'opium.
