Comentario
Les timbres-monnaies du Crédit Lyonnais sont de loin les plus courants. Seize variétés ont été recensées en fonction du positionnement de certaines lettres entres elles, en fonction du texte inscrit sous “CREDIT LYONNAIS” ainsi que les inscriptions du revers visibles ou non en transparence sur l’avers. Il existe aussi différentes couleurs pour le fond : rouge, rose, vermillon, orange, jaune, bleu et blanc.

POSTAGE STAMPS AS CURRENCY
Los sellos monetarios son monedas de necesidad que se utilizaron para complementar la deficiente circulación monetaria en la acuñación. Los primeros sellos de moneda aparecieron en el segundo trimestre del año 1920. La patente de fabricación de los sellos de acuñación (FYP) está fechada el 19 de marzo de 1920. La producción parece haber durado aproximadamente tres años. Se utilizaron sellos de 5 centavos a 35 centavos para hacer sellos de acuñación. Los 35 centavos morados son muy raros y se usaban poco. Encontramos especialmente en los sellos de moneda los valores de 5 y 10 céntimos. Las tiradas, salvo las de Crédit Lyonnais, son muy bajas, pero no pueden ser inferiores a 1.000 monedas. Nunca fueron reconocidos por la administración y se pusieron en circulación a instancias de empresas privadas, medio publicitario a la vez que moneda sustitutiva para reponer las monedas fraccionarias desaparecidas o atesoradas..
