La typologie du droit et du revers est souvent la même ; l'attribution varie selon les légendes, souvent difficilement lisibles. Les trois légendes sont placées au droit ; Vai sous le bras droit (devant le roi), Mi sous le bras gauche (derrière le roi) et Sha Ka en bord de flan complètement à droite.

El Imperio Koushan surgió de las ruinas del reino de Bactria y el de Indo-Koush. Conocemos monedas de oro de Vima Kadphises (108-142), contemporánea de Trajano y Adriano. El imperio conoció su apogeo bajo Vasou Deva Ier (185-228) luego desapareció en la segunda mitad del siglo IVe, reemplazado por el imperio Goupta, fundado por Chandragoupta Ier (320-335).
