Comentario

Il semble s’agir d’une frappe postérieure à 1793, probablement 1848 où de nombreuses médailles furent réalisées. D’après l’ouvrage d’Hennin, la médaille est censée être entourée d’un cercle en fer, que nous n’avons pas.
A l’origine, la médaille fut frappée pour rappeler la destruction de Pierre-Scise, et l’on voit qu’elle porte la date du jour où commença la démolition de ce château fort. Elle ne fut pas faite avec les métaux provenant des débris de cet édifice. Elle porte les initiales des noms des quatre représentants signataires de l’arrêté du 4 brumaire an 2 : Georges Couthon, Maignet, Sébastien Delaporte, Chateauneuf-Randon..
This appears to be a strike after 1793, probably 1848, when many medals were made. According to Hennin's work, the medal is supposed to be surrounded by an iron circle, which we do not have. Originally, the medal was struck to commemorate the destruction of Pierre-Scise, and we see that it bears the date of the day when the demolition of this fortified castle began. It was not made with metals from the debris of this building. It bears the initials of the names of the four representatives who signed the decree of 4 Brumaire Year 2: Georges Couthon, Maignet, Sébastien Delaporte, Chateauneuf-Randon.
