Comentario

Exemplaire issu du médaillier Franklin qui met à l’honneur la statue d’un cheval pendant la dynastie des Tang. Il s’agit d’un objet funéraire trouvé dans un tombeau d’un haut dignitaire chinois. Il est daté du VIIIe siècle environ et serait probablement l’oeuvre de l’artiste de cour Han Kan sous le règne de Hsüan-Tsung (719-756). Il est conservé au Art Institute de Chicago.

Théoriquement, le poinçon crabe est censé indiquer un titrage à 800 millièmes.
