Comentario

Richard Wagner (1813-1883) est un compositeur allemande de la période romantique. De 1827 à 1839, il est directeur de la musique à Riga. Criblé de dettes, il fuit Riga pour Londres en 1839. Il est alors pris dans une tempête ce qui lui inspire son quatrième opéra, le Vaisseau Fantôme (en Allemand, le titre est Der Fliegende Holländer, le Hollandais Volant).
Richard Wagner (1813-1883) was a German composer of the Romantic period. From 1827 to 1839, he was director of music in Riga. Riddled with debt, he fled Riga for London in 1839. He was caught in a storm, which inspired his fourth opera, The Flying Dutchman (in German, the title is Der Fliegende Holländer, The Flying Dutchman).
