Ce type de bronze est très rare ; ce n’est que le second semis à portrait que nous proposons. Le n° 691 de MONNAIES XXVI avait ce même type de droit mais un revers varié comparable au DT. 2484, considéré comme une liaison de classes (cl. I et II var. 1).
Avec cette légende CISIAMBOS au droit et MAVPENNOS.ARCANTODA au revers, cette variante semble inédite. La seule monnaie approchante (le BN. 7158) est reprise comme monnaie type du RIG. 108 et pour le DT. 2485, mais dans un piètre état et avec seulement la seconde partie de la légende du revers.
Notre exemplaire particulièrement complet permet de restituer un hybride avec un avers du type au portrait et un revers du type à la fleur !
Cette monnaie est donc un hybride inédit qui permet de confirmer la lecture du LT. 7158, reprise comme monnaie type..
This type of bronze is very rare; it is only the second portrait semi-precious coin that we offer. No. 691 of MONNAIES XXVI had this same obverse type but a varied reverse comparable to DT. 2484, considered a class link (cl. I and II var. 1). With this legend CISIAMBOS on the obverse and MAVPENNOS.ARCANTODA on the reverse, this variant seems unprecedented. The only similar coin (BN. 7158) is included as the type coin for RIG. 108 and for DT. 2485, but in poor condition and with only the second part of the reverse legend. Our particularly complete example allows us to reconstruct a hybrid with an obverse of the portrait type and a reverse of the flower type! This coin is therefore an unprecedented hybrid which allows us to confirm the reading of LT. 7158, included as the type coin.
