Très bel exemplaire, homogène et particulièrement bien centré au droit. Patine sombre et légèrement brillante

Descripción del anverso: Tête stylisée à gauche, de type négroïde, la chevelure représentée par un rang d’esses reposant sur un rang d’épis en forme d’Y.

Descripción del reverso: Croix bouletée au centre, formée de quatre cantons ornés chacun d'une lunule : annelet au 1er canton, un globule aux 2e, 3e et 4e cantons.
Comentario
Cette drachme a la particularité de présenter un petit globule au bout du menton. Au revers il est difficile de distinguer l’annelet qui peut être au premier ou au second canton.

Historial
GALLIA - SUDOESTE DE LA GALLIA - TOLOSATES (Región de Vieja-Tolosa)
(siglos II - I a. C.)
Los Tolosates, componente de los Volques Tectosages, ocuparon la comarca de Tolosa (Tolosa Vieja). Habrían sido presentados después del 105 a. C. por Quintus Servilius Cæpio. Este episodio estaría en el origen del mito del oro de Toulouse "aurum Tolosanum". Tolosa, su capital estaba incluida en la provincia de Narbonnaise, limítrofe con la Galia independiente antes de la guerra de las Galias. Durante las Guerras de las Galias, los Tolosates parecen haberse mantenido fieles a la alianza romana. Fuentes: César (BG. I, 10; III, 20; VII, 7); Estrabón (G. IV, 14).
