Ce potin est exceptionnel, par son degré de rareté mais aussi par sa qualité de coulée et de conservation !
L'exemplaire BN 4628 du LA TOUR, celui de Lyon n°368 ou encore celui du British Museum ont tous une tranche irrégulière, jusqu'à avoir de gros manques. Ces imperfections semblent être caractéristiques de ce potin.
Au revers de cet exemplaire, le motif décrit dans le Nouvel Atlas comme "motif à trois boucles (triskèle ?)" pourrait faire penser à un petit personnage debout de face.
La nature de l’animal pourrait être controversée. Décrit comme un cheval, il semble présenter une ramure sur cet exemplaire, ce qui pourrait faire penser à un cerf plutôt qu’un cheval.
This potin is exceptional, not only for its degree of rarity but also for its quality of casting and preservation! The example BN 4628 from LA TOUR, that of Lyon n°368 or that of the British Museum all have an irregular edge, to the point of having large losses. These imperfections seem to be characteristic of this potin. On the reverse of this example, the motif described in the New Atlas as \\\"three-loop motif (triskèle?)\\\" could suggest a small figure standing facing forward. The nature of the animal could be controversial. Described as a horse, it seems to have antlers on this example, which could suggest a deer rather than a horse
