Getúlio Vargas(1882-1954) est un juriste et homme politique brésilien. Il est président de la République des états unis du Brésil de 1930 à 1945 et de 1951 à 1954. Il est le fondateur de l’Estado Novo, régime dictatorial qu’il met en place entre 1937 et 1945. Poussé à la démission, il se suicide le 24 août 1954.
Getúlio Vargas (1882-1954) was a Brazilian jurist and politician. He was President of the Republic of the United States of Brazil from 1930 to 1945 and from 1951 to 1954. He was the founder of the Estado Novo, a dictatorial regime that he established between 1937 and 1945. Forced to resign, he committed suicide on August 24, 1954.
