Comentario
Sur cet exemplaire le sanglier du droit est particulièrement bien venu ; le bucrane sous le groin y est bien net. La variété 2 du Nouvel Atlas a la particularité d’avoir ce bucrane mais aussi la lettre A sous la jambe avant du cheval, au revers ; cette lettre est partiellement hors flan, mais il est possible de la restituer.

GALLIA BELGICA - AMBIANI (Región de Amiens)
(siglos II - I a. C.)
Su nombre, "los que están a ambos lados del río", indica que los Ambiens, pueblo de la Galia belga, ocuparon ambas orillas del Somme (Samara). Su territorio corresponde al actual departamento del Somme. Sus vecinos fueron los Calètes, los Morins, los Atrébates, los Bellovaques. Su oppidum principal era Samarobriva (cerca de Amiens). Participaron en la coalición de los pueblos belgas en el 57 a. C. y aportaron un contingente de diez mil hombres. En el 52 a. C., fue un contingente de cinco mil hombres los que dieron para el ejército de socorro dedicado a despejar Alesia. César (BG. II, 4, 15; VII, 75; VIII, 7). Estrabón (G. IV, 5). Krutas: 68, 110, 366.
