Un collectionneur nous a fait une remarque intéressante :
“La date MDCCXLIV (1744) qui apparaît au revers de la médaille est l'année de la maladie & de la guérison du Roi, mais elle fut frappée en réalité en 1754, date de l'inauguration de la statue par les Etats de Bretagne siégeant à Rennes qui, à cette occasion, firent également frapper un jeton en cuivre & en argent qui n'est autre que le Daniel 102. Le vote du budget, la passation de commande, la fabrication, la mise en place et enfin l'inauguration de cette statue avaient pris dix ans...Donc, année de frappe : 1754.”

A collector made an interesting remark to us: “The date MDCCXLIV (1744) which appears on the reverse of the medal is the year of the King’s illness and recovery, but it was actually struck in 1754, the date of the inauguration of the statue by the States of Brittany sitting in Rennes who, on this occasion, also struck a copper and silver token which is none other than Daniel 102.
