Superbe potin complet, avec des reliefs assez bien venus et une belle patine sombre et brillante. Avers parfait, mais revers avec une surface un peu moins homogène

C’est le seul type de potin attribué aux Parisii de façon certaine (?), le potin à la tête de face restant en Région parisienne...
Cet exemplaire est d’une qualité extraordinaire, avec une magnifique tête et un revers avec les deux petits annelets derrière le cheval.

Los Parisii eran un pueblo pequeño pero poderoso cuyo oppidum era Lutèce. Relacionados con los Sénon, los Parisii y la ciudad se habrían emancipado de su tutela, relativamente tarde, tras la derrota de Arverne en el 121 aC La riqueza de los Parisii se basaba en el control fluvial del Sena y las confluencias con el Marne, Bièvre , Ourcq y Oise. César elige a Lutèce, en el 53 antes de J. - C. para convocar la asamblea de los pueblos galos. Los Parisii fueron de los primeros en responder a la llamada de Vercingétorix, al año siguiente, en el 52 a. C., y aportaron un contingente de ocho mil hombres para el ejército de socorro. Vigilado por Labieno, amigo y legado de César, el territorio de los Parisii fue escenario de las últimas batallas entre galos y romanos. Finalmente, el jefe aulercano Camulogenes fue derrotado y asesinado cerca de Lutetia. César (BG. VI, 3; VII, 4, 34, 57, 75). Krutas: 36, 40 46, 68, 365, 368.
