Comentario

Ce type est frappé au début de l’occupation romaine. Pour O. Hoover, ce type serait frappé à la fin du IIe ou au début du Ier siècle avant J.-C. Sur cette pièce, la tête au droit est décrite parfois comme celle d’Athéna. Il faut en effet plutôt y voir celle d’Arès, dieu de la guerre.
This type is struck at the start of the Roman occupation. For O. Hoover, this type would be struck at the end of the 2nd or the beginning of the 1st century BC. On this coin, the head on the right is sometimes described as that of Athena. In fact, it should rather be seen as that of Ares, god of war.
