Poids léger. Les seuls exemplaires signalés, ceux de la collection Stancomb, décrivent bien au droit un casque thrace (WSC. n° 229-230, pl. X), mais en revanche la variété avec le casque à gauche semble complètement inédite et non répertoriée.

TRACIA - MESSEMBRIA
(siglos III - II a.C.)
Messembria fue una importante colonia de Megara, fundada alrededor del 510 aC Estaba ubicada en Pont-Euxin, bordeada por el Mar Negro, al norte de Apollonia Pontica. Port Thrace, acogió a refugiados de Bizancio y Calcedonia durante la revuelta jónica contra Darío a principios del siglo V aC El nombre de la ciudad en sí significa (sur = meshmbria en griego). Messembria adoraba al Apolo solar de Megara, su metrópolis. La ciudad fue conquistada por los romanos en el 72 a.C..
